Sarah W Symonds Cast Iron Doorstop Phoebe, c1910, Wonderful Original Condition

Up for sale is a wonderful example of a classic doorstop by renown New England artist Sarah W Symonds. This beautiful cast iron doorstop by Sarah W Symonds is a must-have for any collector of metalware and cast iron items. The Phoebe design, made in 1910, is a stunning addition to any home decor. Its durable construction and original state make it a wonderful piece to display or use as a functional doorstop. The material of cast iron adds a touch of elegance and strength to any space. This piece is out of my late mom’s collection, and will be listing more in the coming weeks. My parents used to scour antique shops in the 70’s for these somewhat elusive pieces. Paint on this very rare piece appears to be original, unretouched and very detailed. It shows the nicks and dings of 50-60 years of use before being put on a display shelf. She displays beautifully and could easily be the centerpiece of a nice collection.

Vintage Cast Iron 11 Rabbit Door Stop Painted Metal Bunny Doorstop Statue Bank

A large vintage or antique cast iron rabbit doorstop. The rabbit is approximately 11 inches tall and weighs a substantial 11 pounds. It has an opening on its back to be used as a bank and may have had 2 screws for opening the bank that have been painted over (see the flat circular areas at the nose and tail). ANTIQUE CAST IRON SOUTHERN BELLE LADY MANSION HOUSE WISTERIA ART STATUE SCULPTURE DOORSTOP. Circa 1890’s – 1920, Eastern Specialty Manufacturing doorstop Number 50: House with Woman. Beautiful, rare, Antique cast iron Southern Belle & mansion home doorstop in good aged condition. The house has a butter cream finish, four paned windows with green shudders, an arched green framed doorway and a metal black fence; with purple and green wisteria hanging down from the roof, and shows a Southern Belle walking through the gate and up the stairs to the door.. The doorstop is marked Eastern Specialty Mfg. 50 to the verso. Beautiful artistic details and original factory paint with a warm, aged patina. Some minor paint loss. 4 pounds 15 ounces. 8 1/4″ x 5 9/16″ x 2. Double bubble wrapped and double boxed with bubble wrap between the boxes.
