Rare All Original Antique Hubley Cast Iron Pekingese Large Size Doorstop

Rare All Original Antique Hubley Cast Iron Pekingese Large Size Doorstop. We are pleased to offer for sale this great estate sale find antique cast iron doorstop. It is a rare Hubley large size full figure Pekingese doorstop in all original vintage condition with no paint touch-ups, etc. Dating from the 1920’s-30’s. This is a large doorstop weighing in at a hefty 13 lbs-7.4 oz. It measures 13 3/4″ long x 9″ tall x about 5 wide. It has normal wear that you would expect on an antique piece. It still retains about 80% or more of the original paint with some slight surface rust on areas where the paint has chipped off giving it a great vintage look. The face is in nice condition with some paint loss on the nose and around the mouth which do not detract at all from the look as you can see in the photos. The eyes are in great condition and you can still see the tip of his red tongue. The screw heads cannot be seen and only on close inspection can you see where they are hidden. There is a number 54L impressed on the inside of the piece with the L probably indicating “large”. You will not be disappointed with this piece. Please look carefully at all the photos.
