Here we have a rare vintage cast iron doorstop, which is an antique 1930s HUBLEY Wire Hair Fox Terrier Airedale Dog Door Stop. A heavy cast iron decorative door stop made by Hubley, probably sometime circa early 1930’s. It is cast to depict a terrier in shades of tan, brown and black. Shows paint wear and patina consistent with age. In very good structural shape, very solid and sturdy. Stands 8-1/2″ tall and 8″ long and 4 wide. Weighs about 5.12 pounds without packaging. RARE DOOR STOP CAST IRON AMERICANA DUCK with TOP HAT DOORSTOP 1930s COMICAL

Offered is a wonderful ANTIQUE DUCK with top hat and pants SOLID CAST IRON EARLY AMERICANA DOORSTOP. It is undoubtedly from the 1930s. This belonged to my Aunt who died last year at the age of 99. I have no one to will it to. The base measures approximately 4 ¼ by 3, it is approximately 7 ¾ high. It retains much of the original paint. It is quite heavy, solid, strong and well made. Please see photos; they are part of the description. It is a lovely piece. It has not been washed, cleaned or waxed. I cannot find a hallmark. However, there is a piece of tape holding a label on the bottom that reads: Doorstop, duck, full body, pants and top hat, cast iron, 8 ¼ in. I’ve measured it several times and still come out with 7 ¾. I have no way of knowing how old this piece of paper is; it is yellowing. There may be a bit of rust. Again, please look closely at the SIX photos showing every angle of this wonderful little door stop. Imagine this great find as a gift or part of your own collection!
