HILTON HEAD HUMANE (HHH). VINTAGE/ANTIQUE CAST IRON BLACK GUARD CAT. SITTING ON TRAPEZOID BASE. DESCRIPTION : An impressive sitting, green/gold eyed, watchful, black cat perched atop a trapezoid base made of cast iron and very appropriate as a door stop weighing in at approximately 12 pounds 6 ounces is offered here. Although this piece does not have visible markings it has many of the characteristics of a Hubley design doorstop. There are some number-like markings at the center top of the piece but they are very hard to discern There is also a round screw head-like mark at the level of what might be a neck bauble. The cat has golden colored eyes that have a green tint. This piece, in our opinion, is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. We received and have listed a large collection of vintage/antique cast iron doorstops from a valued collector’s estate; be sure to check out our store to see them all. Our items have been donated to our thrift store and we usually do not have first hand knowledge of the item. We are also staffed by volunteers who are probably not expert in the item listed. A sweet black and white pointer dog door stop done in heavy cast iron. An antique, this lovely piece has served for many years. Condition is very good antique. There are some scuffs, marks and one noted paint chip on the bottom of one paw. Constructed of cast iron, the piece weighs about 10 pounds. It was crafted from two pieces- a merge line shows down the center. Measures about 8″ at tallest x 13.5″ long. Thank you for looking at our listings!

These are a pair of black cast-iron doorstops / bookends featuring Three Little Pigs. These are large, measuring 12 inches in length, 7.5 inches in height, and 5 inches in width, and weigh 8.6lbs each. They are handmade and have a matte finish. These doorstops or bookends were manufactured in the United States during the 1980s. They are designed in a country style and are original. The previous owner had placed duct tape on the bottoms of the book end I’m guessing to help prevent scratching of surfaces. No cracks or break in the cast-iron.
