Large 17 Original Antique weighing 14 pounds in weight! Rare Circa 1912 American large baseball player Iron doorstop marked “OCF 1912″ on back in orig paint & great condition – 17 tall. 1912 17 inches tall. If you see one like this that does not have O. 1912 markings engraved on back then it is a replica. This one is ORIGINAL 1912! Baseball Player, Batting Stance, Iron, Marked O. F 1912 17 Inches. Original paint as shown with age appropriate wear and fine patina. Very good overall condition as shown. Great condition for its age and as you can see very minimal wear or rust on the IRON as I have seen many of these very rusted. This one looks great. See all photos as this is the actual item you will receive. This was my grandfather’s and he kept this in his clothes closet for many years. He was born 1900 and his Dad gave this to him for his bedroom. F was a Iron Company years ago and they manufactured IRON and did some door stoppers and statues. An Original IRON Door Stopper Antique Collectible. This Baseball Player Door Stopper Figure Statue looks very good compared to the few that I have seen on auctions as some are reproductions. This is an original one unlike some others that do NOT have the engraved O. F marking on the back are not original. This one is original with the engraved O. F company marking and the 1912 date on back. In my earlier research this is listed as IRON but I see some listings calling it Cast IRON and as I do not know the difference. The third and present tower was built in 1890 on the masonry foundation of the 1832 tower. The 36-foot tall, conical brick tower is painted white. An enclosed passageway and covered walkway connect the tower to the two-story double keepers’ quarters, which was built in 1879. Eastern Point Light Station consists of the 1890 tower, keepers’ quarters, walkway, oil house and bell tower. Eastern Point Light Station was established in 1832. Following the arrival of the railroad in Gloucester in 1847 the fishing business exploded and the importance of Eastern Point Light increased. A new light tower replaced the poorly constructed original tower in 1848. Homer’s works depicting the scenery and everyday life of this maritime community are among his most famous. The third and present tower was built in 1890 on the masonry foundation of the 1832 tower. The 36-foot tall, conical brick tower is painted white. An enclosed passageway and covered walkway connect the tower to the two-story double keepers’ quarters, which was built in 1879. Eastern Point Light Station consists of the 1890 tower, keepers’ quarters, walkway, oil house and bell tower.
