Antique National Foundry #22 “Girl Holding Dress Dancing” Cast Iron Doorstop. Hard to find circa 1920’s National piece. National Foundry was based in Whitman, Mass. Superb details to the face & dress. Marked on the back with “#22″. An example of this doorstop can be seen in “The Doorstop Book” by John & Nancy Smith on page 194. In very good condition with some paint loss & overall wear. Measures 9 3/8 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches wide. Weighs 4.8 lbs. This rare antique cast iron bunny rabbit doorstop or garden stature was found at a recent estate sale. The solid cast iron rabbit is in excellent condition, with no breaks, repairs or damage. The rabbit has the original paint with gold accents in almost perfect condition. The rabbit has wonderful vivid details, ears down, collar, concave eyes, tiny bob tail and more. The solid cast iron rabbit weighs just over 5 pounds. The rabbit is 8 ¾ inches tall, 3 1/2 inches wide at the base and 5 inches deep.
