Offered is a wonderful ANTIQUE DUCK with top hat and pants SOLID CAST IRON EARLY AMERICANA DOORSTOP. It is undoubtedly from the 1930s. This belonged to my Aunt who died last year at the age of 99. I have no one to will it to. The base measures approximately 4 ¼ by 3, it is approximately 7 ¾ high. It retains much of the original paint. It is quite heavy, solid, strong and well made. Please see photos; they are part of the description. It is a lovely piece. It has not been washed, cleaned or waxed. I cannot find a hallmark. However, there is a piece of tape holding a label on the bottom that reads: Doorstop, duck, full body, pants and top hat, cast iron, 8 ¼ in. I’ve measured it several times and still come out with 7 ¾. I have no way of knowing how old this piece of paper is; it is yellowing. There may be a bit of rust.
