OLD 1930’S ERA HUBLEY CAST IRON WIRE FOX TERRIER DOORSTOP FIGURINE! WONDERFUL ANTIQUE 1930’S ERA HUBLEY. CAST IRON WIRE FOX TERRIER DOORSTOP FIGURINE! I RECENTLY ACQUIRED A SMALL ESTATE COLLECTION OF MID 1800’S UP TO ABOUT 1950 JEWELRY, HOUSEHOLD AND ASSORTED ITEMS. HUBLEY CAST IRON FROM THIS PERIOD WERE NOT MARKED AND INCLUDED A WIDE RANGE OF SUBJECTS. THIS WONDERFUL SITTING DOORSTOP IS I BELIEVE A WIRE FOX TERRIER, MEASURING APPROXIMATELY 5 3/4″ X 4 3/4″ HIGH. I TOOK TWO SETS OF PHOTOS, THE FIRST IS WITHOUT A FLASH AND IS MORE ACCURATE IN COLOR. IT IS THE ORIGINAL PAINT, IS OFF WHITE WITH BROWN SHADING, DEEP SET EYES AND A RED COLLAR! MOLD MARKS ARE VISIBLE ON HIS BACK, FACE AND EXTENDED LEG. WHAT AN EXPRESSIVE LOOK, HE DOES HAVE SOME CHIPPING AND NORMAL WEAR. THERE ARE DRIPS OF OFF WHITE PAINT DOWN HIS BACK, PERHAPS SOMEONE WAS PAINTING THE WALLS AND NOT TOO CAREFUL! DOES NOT DETRACT FROM THIS AMAZING FIND! Antique 1920’s HUBLEY CAST IRON HORSE DOOR STOP FIGURINE withORIG COLD PAINT TOY

This is a two piece cast iron horse and has the original screws to hold the pieces together. Horse has the original cold paint. Overall condition is very nice for its age. Has some wear to the paint as seen in the photos. The cast iron has no cracks, small chip on one of the ears, no other chips or broken pieces and no repairs. 10 1/2″ tall by 12 1/8″ long. Weight is 6 1/2 pounds unpacked. Rare Hubley cast iron toy and is a must for any collector. Found at a recent 90 year estate and has been safely stored away. The glare spots are from the lights reflection and NOT on the actual surface of the item(color is great). Tough item to find and is a must for any collector. I have taken detailed photos to show you the detail of this original item. Please see my other auctions for other great vintage items from the same estate.
