This Gnome has all the Good Signs that it is a Good Early Piece with aged paint(Not bright shiny paint like on newer repo ones), Flat Screw in back, Tight Fitment of front and back, No Grind marks as you would see on reproductions and finally its not a Combo bank/door stop as you would see on newer reproductions. This one as all the paint wear in place’s you would expect to see paint loss from either being tipped over or bumping up against something. If you look close at the photo’s just taken you can see the finest of detailing on his face and above his eye’s-his hair lines are clean and crisp as if the molds used to produce him where top quality and not like later reproductions where definition is not there with poor quality and molds being over used. I have noticed with these door stops if you look close at the small details of each one you can see the slight differences that set certain ones apart from others.
