Antique Japanned Cast Iron Nut Cracker Dog Scarce Find EUC. Outstanding and Beautiful Dog Nutcracker, call the dog anything you wish, just a wonderful looking display nutcracker, weighs 6 lbs. I have only cloth dusted this item, will leave that up to someone else if needed. Signs of past use in the mouth, could use a tooth brush.. Great patina and look. Don’t see any markings or numbers to indicate whom may have made it. 1 1/4 square nut needs added, it looks like it has been missing for a long time, very solid fit to the base as it’s not loose at all! . Measurements are 12″ long x 5″ wide x 6 tall, The tail will stay up if you give a slight push, A magnet does stick to the entire piece. See below please and Thank you. RARE ANTIQUE / VINTAGE CAST IRON STANDING RABBIT. LIFE SIZE AND VERY SUBSTANTIAL OLD CAST IRON STANDING ALERT BUNNY RABBIT DOORSTOP. HE IS A TAD ON THE CREEPY SIDE THOUGH. HONEST WEAR AND A SPECTACULAR PATINA SEEMS TO BE USED INSIDE IN LOW HUMIDITY- NOT A LOT OF RUST ON THE EXTERIOR, INTERIOR IS A BIT DIRTY. LOOKS TO HAVE SPENT A LONG TIME INDOORS OR POSSIBLY SOME KIND OF REFURBISHING- ISN’T A KIND OF PAINT THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. THERE ARE NO MAKER’S MARKS I CAN FIND- MAYBE INSIDE- AS ORIGINALLY HE WAS WELDED TOGETHER. MEASURES A LARGE 12 1/4″ TALL X 10 1/2″ LONG X 4 WIDE.
