Vintage 1930’s Cast Iron Airedale/Wire Hair Fox Terrier Dog Door Stop Hubley

This cast iron dog is a very unique piece. It weighs 5 lbs. 14 ounces, and as you can see from the pictures, has paint chipping but is structurally in tact. It measures 8-1/2″ tall 7″ long. Please note that it does not have the screw to hold the 2 pieces together so I took pictures of the inside. It is numbered 270 on the inside. It might be a Hubley (the appearance is similar and consistent with others) but is not marked. Please see the pictures and zoom in for detail. Antique Hubley Cast Iron Doorstop Terrier Airedale Wire Hair Fox Dog Great Paint

Vintage Hubley Quality Airedale Terrier, Welsh Terrier or Wire Hair Fox Terrier, Cast Iron Dog Doorstop. This heavy cast iron decorative door stop believed to be crafted by Hubley in Pennsylvania, USA probably sometime circa early 1930’s. It is cast to depict a terrier in shades of white, brown and black. There is some specks of loss to original paint as can be seen in the photos. Even the tiny white “twinkle” is present in both eyes. Measures 8″ 1/2 inches tall x 4 1/2 inches wide x 8″ inches long. Please see all photos as they are part of the description.
