This is an Antique HUBLEY Cast Iron. DOG Doorstop, Bookend, or Home Art Statue. The metal dog has a beautiful aged patina and features an adorably whimsical puppy dog with painted droopy eyes in cast iron. The doorstop measures approximately 3.5″ wide x 2.5″ deep x 5.25 tall and is in excellent vintage pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, dents or utensil marks. Nice patina with wear to the paint on the eyes. Please see pictures for details. Any further condition issues (chips, cracks, excessive crazing) will be specifically mentioned. Antique Cast Iron Door Stop Greenblatt Studios George Washington Home 19
From a New England estate. Nice circa 1920’s cast iron door stop made by the A. Greenblatt Studios in New York City depicting Sulgrave Manor, the ancestral home of the American President George Washington. Very good condition with most of it’s original polychrome decoration intact. Rusty reverse side where raised lettering provides details of manufacture. Measures 10 3/4″W X 9″H X about 3D.
