A heavy, large cast metal horse-drawn carriage or stage coach with 2 horses and a driver. Originally a cast iron lamp and now a lovely shelf piece or a door stop. The lamp socket and wires and the tinted glass window panes have been removed, and at some point the metal was tastefully hand painted entirely in black with white, gold, green, and red details. Most likely made in the 1930s and hand painted in the 1950s or 1960s. Spanora made some unusual, Art Deco style metal lamps in the 1920s and 1930s. Measures 16 3/4 long x 7 1/2 high x 2 1/2 deep. Weighs 4 lbs 4 oz. In good preowned condition. Original lamp parts and glass windows were fully removed at some point and are not included. The little metal pieces that held the glass in place in the back are still there but are straightened and painted over. The black paint covers the entire piece, including the bottom. Not much wear on the paint. There is minor oxidation or rust on the bottom and edges, but no disintegration in the paint or the metal. See images for details. Baltimore, MD Circa 1900. TWIN HORSE 2 HORSES. From my Dads’ collection. Beautiful antique Very rare to find these in any condition.. You don’t want to miss out on this one. This is an Authentic early 1900s cast iron twin horse figural boot scraper. Marked BB on one corner which I believe refers to it being manufactured by Mrs. On the under-side is B. The base measures 15-1/2 long and 7 deep. The horses are 8-1/2 tall. Very sturdy and heavy for its size.. Normal light surface wear. Photos do represent it well. And Please ask any questions..
