Antique Hubley Setter Retriever Pointer Hunting Dog Doorstop Statue Cast Iron

It is a dog, some sort of pointer, very large at 15″ long x 8 1/2″ tall and weighs 7 lbs 14.5 oz! The quality of the details in the casting and the way the 2 halves fit tightly together speak of the quality of this piece. This is a wonderful depiction of a pointer retriever dog at full point. Antique Hubley Fox Terrier Cast Iron Doorstop Set (3) Pieces

This three piece set was found at a church sale in a retirement community. The woman I spoke to was the owner of this set. She told me that they belonged to her great grandmother. She donated them to the church. Honest aged and usage. There is paint wear and oxidation where the paint is missing. Well defined and highly detailed casting of this breeds typical features with a red collar. Study the photos, the largest piece may have had a repair, look for a white round patch. I don’t know. 1 The large piece stands 10″ high by 11 1/2″ wide. It weighs 9 lbs. 2 The medium piece stands 5 1/4″ high by 6 1/2″ wide. It weighs 3 lbs. 3 The small pieces stands 3″ high by 3 1/8″ wide. It weighs 8 oz. Please note here and now that we are not experts in any way, shape or form.
