Scarce Antique Cast Iron Boston Terrier Dog Doorstop In Seated Pose, Must See
A scarce and desirable antique cast iron doorstop of a seated Boston Terrier dog, circa 1920’s, as shown in Paul Hiller’s authoritative book on Boston Terrier Collectibles, on page 35. This is an original, not a reproduction, and comes directly from the private collection of a discriminating collector. We have chosen not to clean this piece in order to retain the original remaining paint, patina and yes, even the dust. The piece will arrive to its new owner as seen in the attached photos. Please examine them carefully. The doorstop measures 6 3/4″ tall by 6 3/4″ long. A great piece for the serious collector! This is almost 9″ tall by 5 5/8″wide. Sorry for some shadow’s in the pictures but condition is clearly shown. I sell alot of antiques and other amazing things so feel free to check out other listings. I’ve had inquiries about whthe paint was original on the two big mammy doorstop auctions and such. I don’t know for positive on anything with these antiques. All I know is they’re hubley and marked. The paint looks original to me but I’m not a professional or experienced so use your own judgement because I’m sure you know better than I do. Thanks again and goodluck. AMAZING RARE HUBLEY MUST SEE CAST IRON BULLDOG DOORSTOP
Condition can be seen in pictures and although we believe this rare find to be a hubley it is hard to know for sure since it’s unmarked like most. That’s all I know about this beauty besides it is 4 3/4″ tall by 4″ wide and 5 3/4 long. Very stocky and amazing dog. This is a must have piece for a collector. I pack all items super well and get on there way as soon as I can. We appreciate all of the great ebayers who we’ve had the pleasure of doing business with and he cherishes the fact that most of the time his items are going to others who will cherish them as much as he did over his years of collecting.
