ITS A STUNNING AND HIGHLY DETAILED CAST IRON DOORSTOP WITH ITS ORIGINAL COLD PAINTED FINISH. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE AND HIGHLY COLLECTABLE DOORSTOP THAT WILL MAKE AN EXCELLENT ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION. GREAT PICTURES SAY IT ALL AND I WILL SEND ADDITIONAL PICS ON REQUEST. This heavy and beautiful piece is nicely cast and still retains its original paint, albeit slightly faded due to age and its wonderful patina. The heavy (over 6lbs) doorstop depicts a sweet and playful-looking Boston Terrier, with brown and white coat. The piece is un-marked but undoubtedly the work of the Hubley foundry, Research indicates this piece dates from the early 1900’s. Doorstop presents in very good antique condition, with minor wear and patina commensurate with age and use. There is minor loss to painted finish. Please review all photos before purchasing.
