Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Black and White Painted Full Figure Cocker Spaniel. For Your Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Collection-Spaniel1. Description: Antique cast iron doorstop cast in the form of a full figured Cocker Spaniel. The dog is standing on all four legs with his tail stretched up and his head turned to the side. The doorstop is painted in white with black highlights on the dog’s back, ears and around his eyes. The dog’s ears are down as is typical with spaniel breeds. The dog is wearing a thin red collar which does not completely go around his neck. The dog’s eyes are nicely colored with reddish yellow surrounding a large black pupil. The piece is very well cast as you can see. Look at the details of his face, the fur on his ears, and the details of the fur over his entire body. The door stop is made of two parts held together with at least one screw, which we can see near the back close to the tail. It would seem that it should have a second screw but such a screw is not obvious. The one screw that we can see appears not to have been unscrewed in the past and we decided not to try to unscrew it to verify the existence of marks on the inside. The piece appears to be all original with quite a bit of its original paint remaining but having quite a bit of losses to the paint. This is a nice size piece and weighs about 6 pounds and 10 ounces. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Uncertain, but most likely sometime in the early to mid 1900s. Size: Measures 7″ in height, 11″ in length from end to end, and is 4 1/2 at its widest. The doorstop weighs about 6 pounds and 10 ounces. Marks: Unmarked on the outside. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a nice substantial antique doorstop. It would make a great addition to your collection. Condition: This doorstop is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs. It is all original and retains quite a bit of its original paint (>70%). It does have paint losses especially on the back, the rump, the paws, and the face. The only issue we see is the red collar which appears to have been repainted and does not go all around the neck. Be that as it may, the piece is beautiful and worthy of a spot in your collection. Please see photo to appreciate the beauty of the doorstop and for additional condition information. Antique Cast Iron SANTA CLAUS Figure Doorstop Painted Christmas Door Stop 15 Vtg. This item is used and in good vintage shape with just some normal use and age wear (see pictures). It weighs about 6.9 pounds on my scale and stands about 15 inches tall. It definitely has some paint wear in various spots (see pictures). The edges also appear to have a little white paint scuffs from a wall it was standing against. Please look at the pictures carefully. You get exactly what is pictured. Antique Cast Iron Parrot Doorstop Colorful Cockatoo Painted Bird Door Stop 14
This is for an antique lovey wonderful condition Cast Iron Parrot Doorstop. This cockatoo measures: 14 inches tall x 5 inches wide x 5 inches deep. This guy is full of bright colors of yellows, reds, oranges, black and greens and look like he was well cared for. He has tall feathers on his head to an open beak to being perched on a branch. There are age appropriate minute chips on the base. He appears to have been a collector piece and not used much if at all. All items are vintage and if more then normal age appropriate use / condition issues – then it will shown in the listing / pictures. I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices. I take all my own pictures in my home and as such try and get all the colors as true to correct as possible.
