Rare Parrot Doorstop Nr

Here we have a rare and very nice parrot doorstop. It is unmarked, although it might be made by Hubley or Bradley & Hubbard. It measures about 6 ¼ tall, 4 ¾ wide, and 2 ½ deep. It is made of cast iron and weighs in at about 3 ½ lbs. The paint is original and is in good condition. See the photos and you be the judge. Antique cast iron parrot doorstop

Here is a nice old doorstop, with no breaks or repairs; please view photographs for various paint loss. It measures about 7 1/2 tall. The bottom base is about 4 1/2″ wide X 2″ deep. I did not pull off the newer green felt to further inspect bottom. Quite heavy for size. He’s got magnificent presence, to subtly become your favorite part of the room. Fabulous Albany Foundry Solid Cast Iron Parrot. This is a beautiful and solid Cast Iron Tropical Parrot Bird Doorstop made by the Albany Foundry between 1910 and 1940. It is in sturdy condition with some paint loss as shown and nice aged patina. He measures 7 1/4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches around the base. This doorstop weighs about 3 1/4 pounds.
