T his is an A ntique S igned H ubley #335 L aying P ersian C ast I ron D oorstop. She is Brownish Gray and Creamy White in color and is all original. She wears a Pink Collar with a Bow in the back and a gold Bell in front. She has worn very nicely over the years, has Great Patina and is clean. It’s hard to let this go but I’ve had her put away for years and it’s time to let someone else enjoy her. This weighs 5.50 pounds. She is 10.75″ long, 6″ tall and 5.75 wide. Antique 1930s HUBLEY Sitting Persian Cat Cast Iron Doorstop Original Paint. Presented for your consideration is this neat antique doorstop. The doorstop is made entirely of cast iron and is of a Persian cat in a sitting pose. Its tail is curled around its body and its face has a curious look on it. Painted an off white color with dark aqua green eyes. Paint is all original. Nice detailing is throughout. Dates to the 1930s. This neat doorstop would make a great addition to any cast iron, Hubley or general antique collection! Some paint wear from age and use. No dents or dings. Overall in VERY GOOD condition. HERE IS A VINTAGE, COLLECTIBLE, HUBLEY METAL FIGURAL SCULPTURE OF A PERSIAN CAT IN THE FORM OF A DOORSTOP. IT IS CAST IRON WITH A WHITE PAINTED FINISH. THE DETAIL OF THE CAT’S FEATURES IS CLEAR AND PRECISE. THIS FIGURAL MEASURES 9 INCHES HIGH; 6 1/2 INCHES DIAMETER AT THE BASE; AND 5 INCHES IN DEPTH. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL CASTING IN TWO PIECES AND BEARS THE “HUBLEY” MARK AND A NUMBER WHICH IS NOT IDENTIFIABLE ON THE UNDERSIDE. THE PAINTING IS HARDER TO DESCRIBE AS IT APPEARS THIS DOORSTOP MAY HAVE BEEN PAINTED GRAY INITIALLY WITH HIGHLIGHTS OF THE INNER EARS, NOSE, EYES AND MOUTH IN PINK, RED, BLACK, YELLOW AND GREEN.
