Cast Iron Cat Kitten Hubley 6 Pound Door Stop Smooth Finish Nice Paint Statue

Vintage Early Produced Cast Iron Cat Kitten Door Stop with a nice Smooth Finish and Paint Statue. (I will include a new piece of black felt for bottom which will be cut to fit with one side having adhesive of course :): Size is 7″ inches Tall by 3″&3/4 inches wide at bottom(from side to side) The Bottom is 3″&1/2 inches by 3″&1/2 inches. The inner opening on bottom is 2″&1/4 inches by 2″&1/4 inches. Weights 6 Pound 5.5 ounces(see photo on scale) “Condition Description” No Damage as far cracks etc. Packaged well No Worries. This Hubley Door Stop was part of one of the best original early Door Stop Collections I have scene in a few years. The Collector was a woman who obviously knew door stops and collected the most original and early Door Stops she could find over her life. I managed to acquire quite a few which I will be listing as time permits. Has the Hubley type cast numbers on back and the original paint is unbelievable in my opinion. Antique 5 pound Cast Iron Cat Doorstop or Bookend Original Finish

Cat Doorstop or Bookend. Measures 6″ high with a base measurement of 2.50″ x 2.50. This was cast as one piece without seams or screws. The details are excellent. Portions of its original paint finish has worn away and other portions of the original paint is faded. You can still see the green eyes, a red lip and white on the chest, ears and parts of the legs. The underside shows a thin layer of green felt. The right ear shows a small chip and the flat backside shows a rough finish. I could find no makers marks. Heavy enough (five pounds) to be used as a bookend or doorstop. I’ve attached photos for you to further evaluate condition and authenticity. Please consider these photos as part of my overall condition observations and if more photos are needed let me know and Ill gladly send them your way. I also invite questions and reply the same day. Antique House Cat Cast Iron 10 pound Door Stop Chic Alley Cat Nice Paint Rug

Antique House Cat Cast Iron 10 pound Door Stop Chic Alley Cat Nice Paint Rug. Antique Cast Iron Solid Metal House Cat thats stands 8&3/4 Inches Tall and weights in at a hefty 9 pounds 11 ounces see last picture on scale. This was part of an older New England Estate that contained over a dozen or so of these late 1800’s to early 1900’s Antique Cast Iron Door Stops and I was able to aquire what I thought was these best one of the bunch as far as cats go. This is not a cheap repo it’s the real deal cast like most were in the 1900’s-1920’s when these where all the craze. I cannot compare it to another as far as paint work, but from the looks of the base the way it’s painted-mimicking a carpet-I would assume it’s original. Please you the High Definition Image option to look at the surfaces of this beauty and you can see the aging to the carpet paint and other painted surfaces etc. I cannot be sure if any other area’s have been retouched etc. But I can say it sure is a beauty and you would be hard pressed to find another quite like it. I wouldn’t think a company would go through all the trouble of casting such a beauty and not have artist decorate/paint what there design should look like with color. If you look at the thick oval metal base which is over a 1/4 inch thick(see pics)-you can see that when it’s up against your door the back portion of the base will be under your door giving it a sturdy hold where it won’t just flop over on you. I have not cleaned it, it is in as found condition with yes it has some aging to all surface’s as it should and some dust around base etc. The bottom is in it’s original metal form with no felt etc. But what I did-was trace a piece of green soft felt with one side sticky peel back so if you wanted to apply it to the base when you got it you could, this way it would slide across your floor-if and when you wanted to close the door without marking up the floor. It will come with it in a clear zip lock back with cat and as I said you can leave it bare metal or apply the green felt.
