BEAUTIFUL AND ARTFUL ANTIQUE HEAVY CAST IRON HUNTING DOG / POINTER. EXCELLENT PATINA TO ADD TO HER CHARM. I believe she is a Hubley from 1930’s. She is right size , weight , age of paint and construction. She is very large at 15″ long x 8 1/2″ tall. She weighs just over 8 lbs. The quality of the details in the casting and the way the 2 halves fit tightly together. This is a wonderful depiction of a pointer retriever dog at full point. The creamy white paint is chippy, he is aged to absolute perfection. She has hints of hand painted black spots / markings on tail , back and one ear. She has a hint of red paint left under her bottom lip and brown eyes. She is a true treasure and he her age and patina makes her one of a kind. Hand painted with white fur, black spots, and yellow eyes, this does stands in full pointing position. It was made in two halves, held tightly and securely together by two slotted screws. This dog measures approximately 8 1/2″ tall, 3 3/4″ wide, 15 tall, and weighs around 8 pounds. This piece will add that nostalgic and classic look that looks great in a home or office! Condition: Overall, this is a very nice piece. There is minor paint loss that is appropriate for its age and use. There is a little rust where the two halves meet on the underside of the dog.
