Rare Cast Iron Hubley Full Figure Seated Monkey Doorstop Stamped 2 Original

A vintage cast iron Hubley doorstop in the form of a full figure seated monkey showing the original painted finish, circa 1930. The monkey has a great facial expression and he sits with his tail wrapped around to form the base. The three-piece casting is held together with the original screw. Weighing 6.5 pounds. The Hubley Manufacturing Company was first incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by John Hubley. The company is well-known for their cast iron novelties and their pieces are highly collectible and much sought after. This model is a rarer example. Light wear as can be expected.
