Antique Cast Iron Black Sleeping Cat Statue Doorstop Southampton PA Halloween. What an Awesome and hard to find item! Especially in great condition like this. Not a stock photo. This piece was found in a barn in Doylestown, Pa. Was found in dry place. Overall very good condition. Some edge wear from storage and age. No paint on this model. Very heavy at 20lbs. The markings say Southampton, PA “1853”. But previous auctions – as well as a Doorstop book by John & Nancy smith – have declared this an early 1900s Hubley design. Even without Hubley markings. Ask any and all questions. Great Antique Hubley Cast Iron Rabbit Doorstop In Very Good Pre-Owned Condition. Measures 12″ Tall x 10 1/2″ L x 5 1/2 W. There’s a small indentation on the top of the right ear. I’m not sure if it’s a manufacturing defect or chip. Please view all of the photos, they are part of the description. All of my items come from a smoke free environment. This is an Antique HUBLEY Cast Iron. DOG Doorstop, Bookend, or Home Art Statue. The metal dog has a beautiful aged patina and features an adorably whimsical puppy dog with painted droopy eyes in cast iron. The doorstop measures approximately 3.5″ wide x 2.5″ deep x 5.25 tall and is in excellent vintage pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, dents or utensil marks. Nice patina with wear to the paint on the eyes. Please see pictures for details. Any further condition issues (chips, cracks, excessive crazing) will be specifically mentioned.
