Nice antique cast iron large size Dachshund doorstop in all original paint, patina & condition. This is a nice and hard to find example. The Dachshund has lots of nice castings, the paint is all original and it is wearing the signature red collar seen on most all of the dogs made by Hubley. This is a large size and it is quite heavy. The casting is marked “Made in USA”. The Dachshund is about 9 1/2″ long x 2 3/4″ x 6 1/4.

11 RARE Antique Cast Iron GNOME Doorstop Hubley Art Heavy Garden Statue Paint. A very rare and hard to find piece. It is used and in good antique shape with just some normal use wear and discoloration as can be expected (see pictures). It does have some paint wear in various spots. I have not tried to clean it as I feel that adds to the character of this piece. It stands about 11 inches tall and weighs about 6.1 pounds on my scale (see pictures). Gorgeous ANTIQUE BRADLEY HUBBARD LG CAST IRON PARROT RING ART STATUE SCULPTURE DOORSTOP. Guaranteed old and original with original paint on both sides. United States (Meriden, CT). Wear consistent with age and use. Overall the company patented 238 designs and mechanical devices. Bradley and Hubbard started out producing clocks, during the Civil War when. Markets opened west of the Mississippi. Throughout the 1850s and 1860s they added other lines of household. Goods including sewing machines, call bells and match safes. In 1859, with the discovery of oil in Titusville, Pennsylvania, B&H began producing kerosene burning lamps. Which eventually replaced whale oil burning lamps. By the 1890s B&H had showrooms in New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Chicago. Sears and Roebuck and Montgomery Ward. In the 1910s, 1920s and 1930s they produced a line of outstanding bronzed or polychromed cast iron bookends and doorstops from molten iron poured into sand molds.
