It features a fall bouquet of Chrysanthemums in a green basket with copper accents in a basketweave design and in original paint. It measures 9″ tall x 6-5/8″ wide x 2-3/4 deep and weighs in at 3 lbs 13.6 oz. Perhaps the only thing more welcoming than an open door is a beautiful colored cast-iron doorstop holding it ajar. Like the best collectibles, these seemingly indestructible household objects are as visually appealing as they are practical, adding a bit of charm and whimsy to any home. From a New England estate. Nice circa 1920’s cast iron door stop made by the A. Greenblatt Studios in New York City depicting Sulgrave Manor, the ancestral home of the American President George Washington. Very good condition with most of it’s original polychrome decoration intact. Rusty reverse side where raised lettering provides details of manufacture. Measures 10 3/4″W X 9″H X about 3D.
