Vintage hubley cast iron Monkey w. Wrapped tail doorstop 1930’s brown nice paint. A vintage monkey doorstop in excellent condition. The doorstop is made of cast iron. It does have some wear and some paint loss. Looks like all the paint is original. Has great patina, I have not touched it, could be cleaned up if desired. Made by Hubley, looks to be from the 1930’s or so. Monkey has brown and light tan with reddish inner ears. It measures about and 8 1/2 high. Great addition to your collection. Antique cast iron doorstop. Halloween black springing cat with nine shaped tail. Four piece heavy casting. 7 pounds 14 ounces. 11 1/2″ H x 8.5″ W. No makers mark (that I could find). Condition: there are no cracks, breaks or repairs; the paint has issues (it is crackled and has some flaking/loss, with green paint visible under the black); there is some rust around the bottom edge; the tail is a little loose.
