The screws are sealed in the original paint, its seams are tight and true. Great artistic details, wonderful body stance, large head, great eyes, mouth, tight seams, etc! There is some paint loss in some of the areas but the great looking patina of the paint and aged cast iron blend together wonderfully and only enhance its appeal. Fresh to the market!! This Whimsical Dog Doorstop is straight out of a house in as-found condition. The gentleman who owned the house was an avid clock collector/repairer and this doorstop was sitting against the door in his workshop. It has a beautiful red color, done in old paint that really makes it stand out and gives it a great patina. This is a very rare form done by A. The back is unpainted as is proper for these doorstops, we believe it to be 100% original (save for possibly the red paint which may have been added early on in its life). Antique Hubley Fox Terrier Cast Iron Doorstop Set (3) Pieces

This three piece set was found at a church sale in a retirement community. The woman I spoke to was the owner of this set. She told me that they belonged to her great grandmother. She donated them to the church. Honest aged and usage. There is paint wear and oxidation where the paint is missing. Well defined and highly detailed casting of this breeds typical features with a red collar. Study the photos, the largest piece may have had a repair, look for a white round patch. I don’t know. 1 The large piece stands 10″ high by 11 1/2″ wide. It weighs 9 lbs. 2 The medium piece stands 5 1/4″ high by 6 1/2″ wide. It weighs 3 lbs. 3 The small pieces stands 3″ high by 3 1/8″ wide. It weighs 8 oz. Please note here and now that we are not experts in any way, shape or form. RARE ANTIQUE CAST IRON HUBLEY BOSTON TERRIER PAW UP DOORSTOP

Rare and hard to find Antique Cast Iron Boston Terrier with Paws Up doorstop circa 1910 and attributed to Hubley Manufacturing Company, Lancaster PA. It measures 9 1/2 tall and weighs almost 6 1/2 lbs. It is original and shows its age with door mark on back from actual use and significant paint loss especially to head and face. Door mark is to paint only and not damage to cast iron. It does have 2 rubber floor guards on bottom and looks to have had 1 other that is missing. I’m not sure if these are original or not.
