Vintage Dempster Beatrice, Nebr Cast Iron Horse Windmill Weight Door Stop

Cast iron short tail horse. Has Dempster Beatrice, nebr on both sides of the horse. From research these horses are described as windmill weights or door stops & date back to the early 1900s. It looks like theres different sizes & styles. I see that some have holes through the shoulder, this one does not. The horse is approx. 12 long & 10 high. It shows wear, rust & some discoloration. Antique Cast Iron Windmill Doorstop marked 512. In excellent condition with original unretouched paint. Measures 8 3/8 inches tall by 7 3/8 inches wide. Marked on the back with the number 512. Some superficial surface rust on the bottom & base of the back. See page 244 of “The Doorstop Book” by John & Nancy Smith.
