Symonds but is not signed. This is the very example shown in “The Doorstop Book” (John & Nancy Smith) on page 226. Very good condition with some paint chipping and light fading to the paint. Partial number marking on the back. Measures 11 1/2″ tall by 5 1/2″ wide. Weighs 5 3/4 lbs. This is a Girl Holding Dress Dancing (arms spread apart) Cast Iron Doorstop Made by National Foundry in Whitman Massachusetts Around 1900. 8 1/2″ Embossed # “42 on the Back. This is a Rare Variation of this Style. John & Nancy Smith Book Example. Doorstop Has it’s Original Multi-Colored Paint and is in Excellent Condition. Could Use a Professional Cleaning. Doorstop is Free of Chips, Cracks or Damage Related Issues. I also Pride Myself in Packing Items as Well as Possible and to the Best of my Ability. Cast Iron is Heavy and Using Extra Packing Materials also Add Weight.
