N exceptional cast iron, figural Flower Doorstop, Hubley Manufacturing Co. This is Hubley design #315: “Marigolds”. An impressive floral display arranged in an Art Deco, beehive-form vase. Features (4) yellow-orange Marigolds, (2) Blue Asters, (2) pale pink Daisies and a robin’s egg blue Poppy. This stop retains its original painted surface. Marked on the reverse: “315” and “MADE IN USA” (see close-up, photo #6). Protective green felt has been added to the base at some point. Minor highpoint wear on the blossoms and along the pedestal edge, as shown; otherwise Excellent with bold, vibrant (and highly-accurate) colors. The addition of the fallen leaf on the base shows the kind of detail that sets Hubley doorstops apart from the rest! See photos for complete details and close-ups.
