Rare antique Pan and Nymph Cast Iron Doorstop. Another seldom seen & desirable piece. Pan was God of the wild and hunting companion of the Nymphs. This particular piece is the same piece as shown in “The Doorstop Book” pp. 200 by John & Nancy Smith. Very good overall condition with an early repaint. Here we have a rare vintage cast iron doorstop, which is an antique 1930s HUBLEY Wire Hair Fox Terrier Airedale Dog Door Stop. A heavy cast iron decorative door stop made by Hubley, probably sometime circa early 1930’s. It is cast to depict a terrier in shades of tan, brown and black. Shows paint wear and patina consistent with age. In very good structural shape, very solid and sturdy. Stands 8-1/2″ tall and 8″ long and 4 wide. Weighs about 5.12 pounds without packaging.
