Antique Lighthouse Of Cloucester Cast Iron Doorstop Nautical Dated 1925

I believe this is Easter Point Light Station. Signed & numbered: Lighthouse of Gloucester Mass. 8, Copyrighted 1925, by A. Greenblatt Studios, Boston, Mass. An eye appealing doorstop. Eastern Point Light Station was established in 1832. Following the arrival of the railroad in Gloucester in 1847 the fishing business exploded and the importance of Eastern Point Light increased. A new light tower replaced the poorly constructed original tower in 1848. Homer’s works depicting the scenery and everyday life of this maritime community are among his most famous. The third and present tower was built in 1890 on the masonry foundation of the 1832 tower. The 36-foot tall, conical brick tower is painted white. An enclosed passageway and covered walkway connect the tower to the two-story double keepers’ quarters, which was built in 1879. Eastern Point Light Station consists of the 1890 tower, keepers’ quarters, walkway, oil house and bell tower. This is a Rare Variation of this Style. John & Nancy Smith Book Example. Doorstop Has it’s Original Multi-Colored Paint and is in Excellent Condition. Could Use a Professional Cleaning. Doorstop is Free of Chips, Cracks or Damage Related Issues. I also Pride Myself in Packing Items as Well as Possible and to the Best of my Ability. Antique DOLLY DINGLE Doorstop Albany Foundry Cast Iron Marked #38

Antique Albany Foundry Cast Iron Original DOLLY DINGLE Signed #38. We also have the Hubley Bobbly Blake, matching doorstop listed separately. It is very difficult to read the maker’s name inside the back of her head-you can only feel it. The #38 is clear at the back of the bottom base. Coloring on this items is exactly as on the Doorstops dot com site for a Hubley. This is made by Albany Foundry. We can’t find any available made by them.
