This lovely vintage Hubley cat is 10 1/2 inches in lenght and 5 inches wide in its widest part. It has the number cast inside the cat shown in photo. It has its original paint for the eyes and mouth. The short-lived IRON ART COMPANY of Chicago, Illinois bought the mold for Hubley fireside cat doorstop. Iron Art Foundry made few doorstops in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s, making mostly trivets, mirror frames, and wall sconces. This vintage piece is signed Iron Art.
