This 1936 Texas Centennial doorstop evokes the wild West of a historic time. The center Texas star has the “Texas” raised lettering sitting above a scalloped moon. Embossed on the moon is a colorful textured display of a brown Longhorn bull, green prickly pear cactus , brown West Texas mountains and a blue sky. The doorstop gives a realistic pictorial of what a person typically thinks of when thinking of Texas. The star and moon are supported by an iron casting of a wooden hitching post.
