This iconic and heavy (over 6 lbs) New England style piece is nicely crafted of cast iron and depicts a friendly bearded mariner fisherman wearing a brown hat, yellow raincoat and pants, and holding a fishing net. The piece is un-marked but undoubtedly the work of the Hubley foundry. Doorstop presents very well and is in very good antique condition, with wear, patina, and minor loss to painted finish commensurate with age and type of use.
