Antique Cast Iron “Tropical Woman with Fruit” Door Stop. Colorful piece showing a tropical woman balancing a basket of fruit on her head. Unknown maker, hollow back & marked on the back lower right with just the number 1000. An couple examples of this doorstop are shown in “The Doorstop Book” by John & Nancy Smith on page 187. In very good to excellent condition with minor paint loss. On the large side, measures 11 3/4 tall and weighs 5.25 lbs. It would add rustic country charm and a focal point in your home or stable. The ring on the top was hand forged by a blacksmith. It has a nice rustic texture and the cast iron has weathered and “aged” look. The weight is 3 1/2″ tall and is 5 3/4″ in diameter. It is 14 pounds 5 ounces.
