This is a terrific old cast iron doorstop. The Scottie Terrier is a perfect accent for any room, no matter what your style is! My father collected these during the 1960s through the 1980s. I do not know details beyond this, though people have suggested that this guy may have been made by Hubley. Some individual specs: Approximately 10-1/2 long x 8 tall, weighs approximately 8 pounds. There are the usual chips and scratches you see on authentic cast iron doorstops of this age. You will see in the final photo that the screws must have been opened at one time which removed the paint over the screw on the dogs side and caused the paint over the top screw (below the ear) to pull away but it does appear that it is the original paint that remains on the screw. It has not been opened in all the years it has been with my family. There is also a place near the front where the paint was damaged (see close-up photo). Ive always felt these add to the pups character. I ask that you evaluate him by looking at the photos.
