An antique painted cast iron Flower Doorstop, Hubley Manufacturing Co. This is Pansy Bowl , Hubley design # 256 ; marked as such on the lower reverse (close-up photo #11). Stop retains original painted surface with bold colors and fine detail throughout. The photos are probably the best description. It has not been cleaned. Moderate surface crazing noted on the creams, yellows and pale lavender (see close-ups). This is one of the better color combinations of this highly sought-after Hubley stop, and still quite vibrant after 80+ years! This would be a real showstopper with a light cleaning.
