Vintage Cast Iron Sleeping Fox Doorstop. This piece came down through my wife’s family, but she doesn’t remember which side it came from. I believe this example of the classic Sleeping Fox Door Stop may be an antique, but not really sure. This one is not hollowed out underneath like so many of the reproductions are. Also, there is no maker’s mark that I can see. The piece is approximately 7″ long and 4″ wide, and weighs 4 lb. It appears to have been painted blue before it was painted red.
