Rare and Wonderful Antique Sitting Boston Terrier Bulldog Cast Iron Dog Doorstop Likely by Hubley. I recently acquired a small portion of the collection of 2 lifelong doorstop collectors from NY. They had traveled the US for over 50 years going to shows and antique shops looking for doorstops to add to their collection. , I was able to pick through the hundreds that were left. Please take a look at my other listings! Last photo is a sample of some I have for sale. This lovely all original doorstop is the extremely uncommon seated Boston Terrier example in natural black and white with Original Paint! It is a 2 piece construction. This is a Hard To Find doorstop! When these DO come up for sale, I’ve often seen them advertised as by Hubley but I’m not positive. What I do know is that this seated version is much rarer than the standing Boston Terrier. Also looks like a French Bulldog! Its in very nice condition for its age, especially since this is the original paint. Please see photos for best idea of condition.
