Rare Magnificent Antique Gilt Cast Iron Peacock Doorstop Fireplace Screen. It is made of 2 separate cast pieces that simply slot together and are nice and tight when slotted. Has what appears to be the original gold gilt painted finish. Seems a bit small for a fireplace screen but might be at 15 high. I absolutely guarantee it is a genuine antique with lots of authentic age. No cracks or chips, excellent condition with a nice aged patina – see my 9 photos.
