Cast Iron Owl Sculputure 1950’s Noguchi Era Midcentury Brutalist Sculpture / Bookend / Doorstop. Made of forged iron, this piece measures approximately 5 7/8 in. Tall x 31/4 in. Wide x 3 1/2 in. The finish has spots of green patina. The finish is in original condition. Sculpture weighs 3 lbs 4 oz.. Photos show all areas of the piece and are part of the description. Note of interest: Isaam Noguchi was born in 1904 in Los Angeles, and died in NYC in 1988. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1927 to study stone and wood sculpture in Paris. He traveled through Asia. In France he assisted sculptor Constanin Brancusi who inspired him to create his abstract sculptures for which he became world renowned. His works are held world wide. I have some other very nice bronze statues, sculptures, as well as cast iron paperweights, and more! Here is a vintage/antique cast iron horse/pony door stop or paperweight. The pain is thick enamel and looks to be pretty old. There are some paint chips. I don’t know the age of this and I could not find any markings. It weighs just under 4lbs unboxed. Please see pics for more details. I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER IT. VOTE TO CHANGE THINGS! I USUALLY HAVE DIFFERENT CHOICES.

RARE Wonderful Antique / Vintage HUBLEY #381 LARGE Size Wire Hair Fox Terrier Cast Iron Dog Doorstop. I recently acquired a small portion of the collection of 2 lifelong doorstop collectors from NY. They had traveled the US for over 50 years going to shows and antique shops looking for doorstops to add to their collection. , I was able to pick through the hundreds that were left. Please take a look at my other listings! Last photo is a sample of some I have for sale. This lovely all original doorstop is the left facing and very large size #381 example in natural white, black and brown with Original Paint! It is a 2 piece construction. While Hubley advertised this dog as a Fox Terrier, it also resembles a Jack Russell Terrier or Airedale Terrier. Its in fantastic condition for its age, especially since this is the original paint. Please see photos for best idea of condition. Measures approximately 10 1/4″ tall x 11 1/2″ long x 4 3/4 wide and weighs 9lbs 10.1oz.

Vintage, Pre-owned: Campbell’s Soup Kids CN Charles Noble Cast Iron doorstop. The back of the doorstop towards the bottom has the CN and the number 25 stamped. The back side of top of head is stamped with the number 2. Heavy, weighs almost 5 pounds, stands approx. 9″ tall and 5″ wide. The paint has wear/worn in spots with patina – please see all pictures.
