Vintage Cast Iron Doorstop Two Black & White Zebras Standing Within Green Plants

Vintage Cast Iron Doorstop Two Zebras Standing Surrounded by Green Plants. For Your Old Cast Iron Doorstop Collection-Zebras1. Description: A very nice vintage cast iron doorstop. The doorstop is cast in the form two Zebras standing next to each other surrounded by green plants. One of the zebras is standing with its head down, while the other is standing next to it with its head resting on its back. The zebras are colored in black and white stripes while the plants surrounding them are green in color. The zebras are standing on green glass which is the color of the top of the base. The piece retains most of its original paint with some minor losses. The back of the doorstop has black coloring surrounding the stripes of the second zebra and is stamped 3419 at the left top of the arch within the body of the second zebra. Unlike most doorstop the coloring of the zebras is on the front and back and not only on the front. A great looking piece worthy of a spot in your collection. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Uncertain but most likely early to mid 1900s (early to mid 20th century). Size: Measures 4 3/4″ in height with the base measuring 5 3/8″ by 2 3/8. The piece weighs almost three and a half pounds. Marks: Marked with the stamped number “3419” on the back at the left top of the arch within the body of the second zebra. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice old doorstop in excellent condition and retaining most of its original paint. A beautiful piece which would display very well in your collection of doorstops. Condition: This doorstop is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs. It retains quite a bit of its original paint with some losses (estimated at better than 98%). The piece is a bit soiled and would probably benefit for a good cleaning. It does have some minor rust signs throughout. Be that as it may, the piece is just great looking and would display very well in your collection. Vintage Cast Iron Doorstop Colorful Cat with Blue Bow Sitting Up on Pink Pillow. For Your Vintage Cast Iron Doorstop Collection. Description: A very nice and rather uncommon vintage cast iron doorstop. The doorstop is cast in the form of colorful cat sitting up on a pink colored pillow. The cat is white in color with yellow eyes having dark pupils. The cat’s ears are perked up and have a pink interior. He has a blue bow around its neck and shows black whiskers around its mouth. The doorstop has a flat base and shows the details of the pillow including a rope along its edge. The casting is nicely done and shows details of the cat’s fur, eyes, mouth, tail next to its body, legs and paws. The back of the piece is painted in off white and is fairly soiled and displays no markings that we could find. This is a rather heavy doorstop given its size, it weighs over 5 pounds against a height of 8 1/2. The bottom of the base is is flat and is half oval in shape. A beautiful and rather rare doorstop worthy of a spot in your collection. Please carefully review the photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Uncertain but most likely early to mid 20th century. Size: Measures 8 1/2″ in height with the base measuring 6 1/8″ by 2. The piece weighs over 5 pounds and 1 ounce. However, our research suggests that a The Connecticut Foundry made similar doorstops, but a bit smaller, in 1929. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice and uncommon old doorstop. It weighs over 5 pounds and is in great condition with minimum losses to its beautiful coloring. A beautiful piece which would display very well in your collection of doorstops. Condition: This doorstop is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs. It retains quite a bit of its original coloring (estimated > 85%) with some wear and loss of coloring, especially at the edge of the pillow, around the eyes, and at the high points of the cat’s fur. However, its colors are still vivid and beautiful. The bottom of the base shows some soiling, spots of rust, and wear. There are also a few minor spots of rust which are seen on the body in general, but nothing of concern. All of these issues do not distract from the piece’s beauty and quality. Nice Antique Hubley Vintage Cast Iron Metal Flower Basket Doorstop Marked 818

This listing is for a single sided cast iron Flower Basket doorstop that is marked 818. I have found 2 others on the internet that were identical with the 818 marking that were documented to be early 20th Century Hubley. They stated that they originally had paper labels above the 818 markings. This door stop measures. Tall ” x 6-1/2″ wide across the base. 7-1/4 wide across the fullest part of the center. It weighs 6 pounds 2 ounces. Good overall condition with some light normal wear to finish. I see no cracks. There are paint runs on the back (see 2 photos showing the backside). Nothing more, nothing less. My photos show different sides. PLEASE VIEW EACH OF MY 9 ENLARGED PHOTOS WHICH ARE THE BIGGEST PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. THIS WILL BE PACKAGED VERY, VERY CAREFULLY. Description: A very nice antique cast iron doorstop. The doorstop is cast in the form of an elephant standing on all four on a green colored half circle base. The elephant has its trunk raised to its forehead in a common elephant move. It also has a large red blanket or cover with gold fringe on its back. It also has its right front leg raised lightly up. The doorstop has colors including black, gold or yellow, white in the ear and tusk, red and green. The piece retains most of its original paint with some minor losses here and there such as on the blanket, the edge of its ears and the front of its raised leg. There are additional minor paint losses throughout. The back of the doorstop has black coloring and is stamped 33. A great looking piece worthy of a spot in your collection. Size: Measures 4 5/8″ in height with the base measuring 6″ by 1 3/4. The piece weighs slightly over 2 pounds and 13 ounces. Marks: Stamped 33 on the back.
