Up for sale is an extremely rare antique solid cast iron figural doorstop made the second half of the 19th century. The stop is in the form of an armed Scottish soldier standing on a platform base with his hand propped on the rock background. It’s made of very thick iron, is extremely heavy, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The casting is an exceedingly rare form. In nice antique condition and measures 14 3/4 inches tall by 12 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches back to front. Thank you for visiting “Dusty Treasures ” and please feel free to browse through. A rare Virginia Metalcrafters cast iron pineapple door stop. These are very hard to find – Virginia Metalcrafters made them for Colonial Williamsburg but they’re simply marked “Pineapple Products” – I see another one of these online that has the original Virginia Metalcrafters tag with the VM catalog number 3357. The door stop is approximately 10 inches tall and approximately 6.75 inches wide. It weighs just under 6 pounds. Absolutely Wonderful Antique Cast Iron French Bulldog Doorstop. I believe this to be a Hubley although there is no makers mark present. Doorstop measures 5 1/2 inches wide and stands 5 inches high. It has great age wear Patina with just a hint of original paint peeking through. Please look closely at all the photographs for best description and detail.

For sale is an antique cast iron lying down lion door stop / paperweight / bookend. Painted white at some time. Unmarked as far as I can see. Age is probably late 1800’s to early 1900’s. Condition is excellent with only some paint wear as seen in photos. Measures 2 3/4″ in height, 2″ wide and 5 1/2 in length. Great old collectable for a door stop, paperweight, bookend, zoo, circus or just an animal collector! Please Note: Most of my items are vintage or pre-owned and may show signs of wear, age and use. For Your Antique Cast Iron Doorstop Collection-SailShip21212. The doorstop has two feet on which it stands and a central stop which is what would stop the door in its place. The back also has two short prongs at mid height, which extend outwards and are probably to ensure the doorstop does not touch the door. Very nice antique doorstop, marked No 205 on the back, which is large and heavy. This is a nice size piece and weighs over 5 pounds. Please view photos as they are part and parcel of the description. Date: Early to mid 20th century. Origin: Uncertain but most likely the USA. Size: Measures 10 1/2″ in width and is 11″ high. The doorstop weighs slightly over 5 pounds. Marks: Stamped on the back “NO 205″. Distinguishing Characteristics – Most Interesting About The Piece: This is definitely a nice antique doorstop. It weighs over 5 pounds and has most of its original paint. Condition: This doorstop is in excellent condition with no breaks or repairs. It has some minor losses to the original paint and minor rust spots on the back and bottom, which can be seen in the photos. Please see photo to appreciate the beauty and condition of the doorstop.
