DESCRIPTION : This listing features a signed, numbered Hubley cast iron doorstop designed as a sitting long haired cat originally painted white with green eyes and pink inner ears. The item measures approximately 9″ high x 6 1/4″ wide x 5 7/8 deep. It is constructed in two parts; has the Hubley name deeply stamped into both pieces and the # 302 inscribed on both pieces. Much of the original paint has worn away and there are places where it has chipped off, but in some ways this gives this piece from the 1940’s more appeal. The green eye and pink inner ear color is still visible. We received and have listed a large collection of vintage/antique cast iron doorstops from a valued collector’s estate; be sure to check them out. Our items have been donated to our thrift store and we usually do not have first hand knowledge of the item. We are also staffed by volunteers who are probably not expert in the item listed.
