Dog is painted ceamy white with classic markings; black/brown head spots and a black “saddle” spot on his back. A slender red collar is painted around his neck. Larger than many doorstops, dog measures 10″ tall and 11″ long. Well cared for but note there is paint loss, please examine the photos. The first Hubley toys appeared in 1909 and were made of cast-iron, with themes that ranged from horse-drawn vehicles and different breeds of dogs, to tractors, steam shovels and guns (Smitsonian Institution, website).
