This is an original cast iron doorstop. I know the house this came from in Louisiana & it is original. It was sandblasted & repainted. I did not do it but that’s the way I got it. It is very heavy. These fox head doorstops are very rare & hard to find.

UP FOR SALE TODAY IS AN ORIGINAL 1800’s STUNNING CAST IRON FLORIAL BOUQUET DOORSTOP. IT MEASURES APPROX 8” TALL BY 5 1/2” LONG BY 2” DEEP AND WEIGHS OVER 2lbs. I WOULD DATE IT FROM 1880 – 1920. ITS A STUNNING AND HIGHLY DETAILED CAST IRON DOORSTOP WITH ITS ORIGINAL COLD PAINTED FINISH. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE AND HIGHLY COLLECTABLE DOORSTOP THAT WILL MAKE AN EXCELLENT ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION. GREAT PICTURES SAY IT ALL AND I WILL SEND ADDITIONAL PICS ON REQUEST. I TRY MY BEST TO DESCRIBE ANY DEFECTS THAT I CAN FIND.

Rare, original, form cast iron doorstop featuring three boys seated behind a fence eating watermelon. Original polychrome paint has been untouched. Some paint loss, chipping and crazing mostly on the back. Hubley raised logo on the back. I could not find another recent comparable example. Weighs 2 lbs 7 oz. Measures 8″ w x 5.5″ h x 2 w.
