This is an antique cast iron doorstop made by. Stamped into the back are the letters BH along with the numbers 7795. It’s in the shape of a elf/gnome/warrior with a club and shield. A Vintage Painted Cast Iron Flower Doorstop, Hubley Manufacturing Co. This is Hubley design No. 453: titled simply, “Jonquil”. Though technically referring to the fragrant. Common names for these trumpet-shaped, Springtime flowers include Daffodils and Narcissus. A hard-to-find and highly-detailed casting, this desirable Hubley stop will complement any collection. Retains original painted surface with correct stamp on reverse, near base: 453. No cracks or repaired damage; it has not been cleaned. See photos for complete details and close-ups.
