Antique early 1900’s Cast Iron Doorstop cast in the figure of a OLD SALT FISHERMAN, Yellow Jacket, White pants, Black Hat and Shoes, holding a fishing net – standing a blue base with water ripple effect, the bottom of the base has/had some sort of felt to protect whatever surface it was resting on. He stands approximately 6 3/8 in tall, base is 2 3/4 x 2 1/4in and weights over 3.4 pounds. Antique condition, I would say nice condition for its age it is showing wear and paint loss as pictured, I do not know if it was ever repainted – I have included photos from all angles as part of the items condition description – any questions please ask.

ANTIQUE GOLD PAINTED Cast Iron HUBLEY. Metal DOG- Sitting WIRED HAIR FOX TERRIER PUPPY. Cast Iron DOG of a sitting Wired-Haired Fox Terrier Puppy (more rare than the standing adult). It is a solid piece (not hollow). It has been cold painted GOLD and it probably isn’t the original paint which was probably cream colored. HOWEVER, the eyes and nose are painted black; and there is a hint of a black line under the nose depicting the mouth. It is in excellent condition considering the age. Please see pictures for better descriptions. 4.75 tall (at the head). 5.5 long (front leg to back of tail). The dogs are a variety of breeds, sizes and metals. Most are unknown makers, but the banks and this doorstop are HUBLEY. These are some of my best dogs. Nearly ALL of my collectibles have been stored in a cabinet enclosed in glass and wood so that dust should not be of concern. I do not charge for packing materials since I currently have plenty of these– I just charge for actual costs ONLY. ALL SALES are FINAL UNLESS MISREPRESENTED. This is an Antique HUBLEY Cast Iron. DOG Doorstop, Bookend, or Home Art Statue. The metal dog has a beautiful aged patina and features an adorably whimsical puppy dog with painted droopy eyes in cast iron. The doorstop measures approximately 3.5″ wide x 2.5″ deep x 5.25 tall and is in excellent vintage pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, stains, crazing, dents or utensil marks. Nice patina with wear to the paint on the eyes. Please see pictures for details. Any further condition issues (chips, cracks, excessive crazing) will be specifically mentioned.
