Victorian Punch & Judy Cast Iron Doorstop Door Stops Bookends Hand Painted 12 tall. Up for sale is this beautiful matching pair of Victorian hand painted/enameled Punch & Judy cast iron door stops. Both are intricately hand painted with glossy vibrant colors. The doorstops are in great antique condition with crazing in the enamel work and a few tiny specks of paint loss here and there. The Punch door stop measures 11 1/2″ x 9″ x 3 3/8 and weighs 7 lb 2 oz. The Judy doorstop measures 11 13/16″ x 8 5/8″ x 3 3/8 and weighs 6 lb 5 oz. Bookends Cast Iron Vintage Book Ends Large Scrolled Door Stops

This is for a forged pair of wrought iron book ends that measure: 8.5 inches tall x 5.75 long x 3.33 deep. They can also be turned to be used with the 8.5 inch side laying down. These are full of classic. Architectural detail and are very heavy, great for bookshelves and holding heavy items. They could also be used as door stops as they have such a wonderful amount of weight. I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices. I take all my own pictures in my home and as such try and get all the colors as true to correct as possible. Rare Pair Numbered Hubley Cast Iron Twin Lion Cat Bookends Original Paint

RARE PAIR NUMBERED HUBLEY CAST IRON TWIN LION CAT BOOKENDS ORIGINAL PAINT…. These are clearly marked with a number 273 on each base and a c within a circle on the other side of the bases. They much have the sleek minimalist styling of some Hubley Foundry line of bookends and doorstops i have seen but the markings indicate they also could be Connecticut or Albany Foundry. They are twin doorstops, i believe, due to each weighing over 8 pounds. Although they also could be bookends. They are guaranteed all original. And this black paint is all origanal. You can tell by the fact that, where chipped, no other paint shows and the cast iron underneath is that deep ruby red brown s hi owing the age, lovely.
